The Doors Open Huron County event relies on over 100 community volunteers to help deliver the two days of site visits and programs.
We need volunteers on both Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14 to welcome visitors to the Doors Open heritage sites and to assist visitors at our various programs and events.
Volunteers are normally scheduled for 4 hour shifts (9:30-1pm or 1-4:30pm Saturday or Sunday) and are needed at sites in Bayfield, Blyth, Brussels, Clinton, Egmondville, Goderich, Hensall, Seaforth, Wingham and Zurich.

All Doors Open volunteers are encouraged to attend an information session prior to the event to learn about the weekend’s programming and the role of volunteers at Doors Open. We hope you will be able to attend one of the following information nights:
Tuesday September 9th, 2014 at 7pm
Zurich Library, 10 Goshen St., Zurich
Wednesday September 10th, 2014 at 7pm
Blyth Memorial Community Hall, 423 Queen St., Blyth
Thursday September 11th, 2014 at 7pm
Huron County Museum, 110 North Street, Goderich
In addition, there will be a thank you BBQ for volunteers immediately following Doors Open on the Sunday evening at the Emergency Training Services Centre in Blyth. Volunteers will receive their invitation via email.
