SEPTEMBER 13 & 14, 2014

Most sites open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day

Re-imagine Huron: Step into our Stories is the theme for this year’s Doors Open Huron County event. On September 13 and 14, 2014 we invite residents and visitors to visit up to 40 heritage sites and places of interest across Huron County to see, hear and experience the fascinating stories found in Huron.  Each of our Doors Open sites this year will feature performances or exhibits by a local: artist, musician, craftsperson or author, creating a unique Doors Open event that combines the area’s built heritage and artistic talent to illustrate the creative countryside that is Huron County.

As well as visiting the Doors Open sites, participants are invited to take part in the additional programming taking place over the two-day event, including:  guided hikes, stained-glass window tour, architectural walking tours, and a speakers’ series featuring local historians. Please check our Sites page for more details on the 38 sites

or for a list of programs by date click here
